Dr. Daniela Escudero,PT

Dr. Daniela Escudero received her Bachelor of Science from Skidmore College and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Dominican College in Rockland County. Daniela’s interest in orthopedics stemmed from a background in kinesiology in college, and learning how interconnected all the movements of the body really were.

This interest has evolved throughout the years and she now performs biomechanical and functional movement assessments to determine the true source of an individual's symptoms. The functional movement assessments ensure that she focuses on impairments specific to each individual. She then uses manual therapy and targeted exercises to retrain the areas that are eliciting symptoms, in order to help individuals achieve their true potential.

Additionally, Daniela has discovered a deep interest in studying Pelvic Floor Health and is pursuing further training with the Herman and Wallace Institute. She has used this continued education to combine orthopedics and Pelvic Floor Therapy to help individuals regain their life. In addition to in clinic practice, Dr. Daniela is a Teaching Assistant for the Physical Therapy program at Dominican College for courses focused on Spine Assessment, and Neurological treatment. In her free time, Daniela enjoys going on walks and hiking with her Cockapoo, Finn. She also loves discovering unique cuisines and exploring different cultural traditions.

What our patients are saying...

This was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish and I'm looking forward to my next session. the office coordinator met me in the lobby and rode the elevator up and down with me, as I have claustrophobia and a difficult time riding elevators. She was so kind. As for the visit, I could not ask for a more qualified physical therapist. Melanie took her time to explain every procedure and technique, and why she was doing what she was doing. She was warm, patient and really took her time. She is flexible with scheduling and makes you feel like a priority. This was my first time seeing a PT in NYC (2nd time ever) and I won't see anyone else- I'll be sticking with Melanie!
